World-renowned trainer YK Hong will lead a two-part intensive to get us on the path to being more than just politically correct or language-savvy (though that as well), but trained in the necessity and practice of inclusion and anti-oppression (anti-racism, anti-sexism, anti-heterosexism...), and able to examine our participation in society and private lives and biases with clear eyes and an emphasis on transformation and repair. Love those adorable arrangements you see in shop windows? A little wild, hand-tied bouquet in a bronze baby shoe? A bundle of herbs in a vintage coffee cup? Bring a vessel you love from home or a found object, as well as any tchotchkes, marbles, charms, beads or whatever you like to adorn your treasure, and Eastside Handmade founder Sheryl Cancellieri will lead you in an up-cycling exercise to revamp the vessel with your own personal flair. Urban farmer and flower-arranging enthusiast Emily Kate Spokes will teach you how to make unique arrangements using unusual fleurs from the Los Angeles Flower Mart.  (Location: Highland Park)
